Kyoto Contemporary Kaiseki 要・Kaname

The restaurant 要・Kaname is found between rows of “machiya”, the traditional houses of Kyoto.
The restaurant’s sign quietly stands at this historic street called Tominokouji.
The graceful “Sukiya-dukuri” (Japanese teahouse architectural style) inspired restaurant brings seasonal quality products and Japanese cuisine technique in harmony.

The limited six-person counter encourage you to enjoy the rich culinary diversity of tradition and modernism in front of you.
All details, from the cuisine and tableware to the art works and interior design, reflect the philosophy of Kanamean Nishitomiya.
